Hasselback potatoes (hasselbackpotatis) are a popular dish in Swedish cuisine and owe their name to the Hasselbacken restaurant in Stockholm, which first invented this tasty "accordion-style" variation of classic baked potatoes. So if you are looking for an easy and flavorful side dish with an international taste, this recipe is for you.
Wash the potatoes under running water.
Take a wooden skewer and insert it into the potato a few millimeters from its base.
Slice the potatoes down to the skewer, creating thin slices, then wash them again to remove the starch and let them drain in a sieve.
Meanwhile, finely chop the rosemary, thyme, oregano, and the garlic clove.
Salt and pepper the herbs to taste and mix, adding the grated cheese in a bowl.
Turn the oven on to 200°C (or the air fryer to 180°C for 30-35 minutes).
Meanwhile, melt the butter, drizzle the potatoes with the melted butter, and fill them with the herb and cheese filling.
Place the potatoes in a baking dish, drizzle them again with melted butter, and cook in a static oven at 200°C for about 75 minutes or until the potatoes are well cooked.
